GCD Air Force DarwinPro truck in 1:64, related to the DarwinPRO liveries on Shoom64 car carriers

Shoom64: The 1:64 Brand Behind the Dodge Ram SRT-10 and DarwinPRO Car Carriers

Most brand guides start with a long history. Shoom64 doesn't offer one, and we'd rather tell you that than invent a story. What it does offer is a handful of unusual 1:64 vehicles: a Viper-engined Dodge Ram pickup and a pair of Hino car-carrier trucks. This guide explains what Shoom64 makes, how it connects to GCD, and what to look for if you want to collect it in India.

What Shoom64 Is

Shoom64 is a 1:64 scale brand. Retailers list its models as diecast, with metal, plastic and rubber parts, and at least one seller lists them with a display base, acrylic cover and box. The brand's name appears on a small number of models, and retailer pages say almost nothing about the company behind it. A number of listings are titled "Shoom64 x GCD", which marks them as a collaboration with GCD, the brand behind our GCD collection. The nature of the partnership is not explained in any listing we found.

The Dodge Ram SRT-10

The Dodge Ram SRT-10 is the model most people associate with Shoom64. It is a full-size pickup fitted with the Dodge Viper's V10 engine, which makes it one of the strangest performance trucks ever sold. In 1:64, Shoom64 has made it in a spread of colours, including red and silver, grey with orange, yellow, green metallic, and an electric blue pearl with white stripes. Some of these are labelled limited editions by retailers, and at least one is an exclusive for a particular dealer. That kind of variety makes the SRT-10 a good model for colour completists.

The Hino 300 Car Carriers

The other Shoom64 models are Hino 300 custom drop-bed car carriers. A drop-bed carrier is the sort of truck that moves show cars, and Shoom64 has made them in DarwinPRO liveries: an AIRFORCE version in grey and a FIST TEAM version in blue, both labelled special editions by retailers. They are display pieces rather than cars, and they pair well with other 1:64 models you can park on the bed.

The DarwinPRO Connection in Our Store

The DarwinPRO Air Force name also appears on GCD models we list. If this livery appeals, take a look at the GCD Air Force DarwinPro and Techwrap truck and the GCD Bronco in DarwinPRO Air Force grey livery. They are separate GCD models, not Shoom64 ones, but they share the same livery theme, so they work as companions on a shelf.
