DCT 1:64: JDM Classics From the AE86 Levin to the Supra A70 and Civic Type R
Share
Not every JDM collector wants a modified widebody. Some want the plain, honest classics: the AE86 everyone knows from drifting, the boxy Supra of the late 1980s, the Civic Type R that made hatchback fans out of sedan drivers. That is the territory of DCT, a 1:64 line of Japanese classics that sells for under ₹1,000 here. This guide explains what DCT is, what it makes and how to collect it in India.
What DCT Is
DCT makes 1:64 diecast models of Japanese cars. International retailers list it as its own brand, and some list its models under the name "DCT GCD", which suggests a connection to the GCD family. We could not find any source that explains the relationship, so we will not describe it beyond that. What we can say is what the models are: 1:64 scale, diecast, and priced for everyday collectors. A US retailer lists DCT's Honda Civic Type R FD2 at about $15, and our DCT models are around ₹899.
The Cars DCT Chooses
Toyota Corolla Levin AE86
The AE86 is the car that made rear-wheel-drive Corollas famous. We list it in two forms: the Toyota Corolla Levin 1983 and the Corolla Levin GT-Apex (AE86) in black. Retailers abroad also list a four-door version, so the casting seems to have variants. It is a key car for anyone building a drift or Initial D shelf.
Toyota Supra A70
The third-generation Supra is a boxy 1980s sports coupe, different from the rounder cars that followed. Our DCT range includes ready-to-ship versions in Silver and White at ₹899, and pre-order listings for the White and Silver. If you like yellow, our Shadow line has an A70 as well: read our Shadow by GCD guide.
Honda Civic Type R (FD2)
The FD2 was the Japan-market Civic Type R sedan of the late 2000s, loved for its high-revving engine. DCT makes it in several colours, and we list White and Black and Black and Red versions as pre-orders. If you like the Civic, compare it with the Mugen version from Hobby Japan, which has a different feel.
Honda Mugen Jade
The Honda Mugen Jade 2015 is the most unusual DCT model: a Honda family wagon with a Mugen tuning kit. It is the kind of car most brands ignore, which is why it stands out.
Pricing and Value
At about ₹899 each, DCT is one of the most accessible lines on our site. Pre-order listings show an MRP of ₹999 and a pre-order price of ₹899, with a ₹99 booking amount. Check each page for the current price and estimated arrival, because pre-order timelines depend on the brand and logistics.
